The Developmental Football League will
provide two Divisions:
The Developmental Football League (DFL) kick-off season will start in the Spring of 2022. All players in the DFL division must play one way until the 2nd half of the game. All players must play in the 1st and 2nd half of the games and players must meet age cut off date requirements that are set forth by the Developmental Football League. The maximum roster size for the DFL divisions is 23 players per division.
DFL encourages each organization to carry rosters of 23 players for developmental purposes. The Developmental Football League will also allow bonus players to the 23-player roster max at an additional cost. DFL division teams will be allowed to add seven bonus players to their 23-player roster at the price per player rate, plus an additional $50 per player. Once a roster has been locked, no additional players will be allowed. No exceptions. Age, and Cut Off date as of July 31st of coming school year for the Spring season.
The Developmental Football League - Elite - The Developmental Football League Elite teams will host tryouts for each team. Unlike the development section of DFL, the Elite League is for the player that has developed a higher level of skill. There will be no weight restrictions at the Elite Division level, No Play Rule, No play restrictions, and No player roster limit. All players at the Elite level Must meet age, and cut off date requirements.
